22nd Jammu District Taekwondo Championship commences

JAMMU, Jan 29: 22nd District Jammu Taekwondo Championship 2019-20, being organised by District Jammu Taekwondo Association got underway at Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha, here today.
The championship is being conducted under the aegis of J&K Taekwondo Association.
Dr SM Bali, Joint Secretary Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and Senior Vice President South Asian Taekwondo Association and President of Ice Hockey Association of India was the chief guest on the inaugural ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bali highlighted the performance India team in South Asian Games which was held at Kathmandu in Nepal.
More than 500 players and officials from All over the District Jammu are taking part in this mega event and the players who will participate in this event are eligible to participate in the forthcoming J&K UT Taekwondo Championship.
Subash Shastri, President NMC and Secretary Qwan Ki Do Association of J&K was the guest of honour, while Ramesh Chander Sharma, Joint Secretary J&K Taekwondo Association, Ravinder Misra and Ankush Sharma, Executive Member JKTA were the special guests.
The Championship was organised under the Chairmanship of DN Pangotra, while Anuj Sharma is the Organizing Secretary.
Gurinder Rakwal is Convenor and Anchal Sharma is the Coordinator of the Championship.
The Technical team is being headed by Mohd Ali, Pankaj Kumar, Arvind Satti, Burhan Ud din, Farzana Batool,Tarun Sharma, Shenaz Parveen, Sonam Charpal and Nariender Sharma.
