22 kg heroin seized 3 held

JAMMU, Sept 3: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has recovered around 22 kg heroin worth about Rs 88 crore in the international market from Lakhanpur in Kathua district from the possession of three narcotics smugglers, hailing from Kashmir, all of whom have been arrested.
Reports said a team of NCB conducted raid at Lakhanpur on specific information and intercepted a car in which three narcotics smugglers were travelling from the Valley to Punjab.
They arrested all three narcotics smugglers and recovered about 22 kg heroin from their possession, which had value of nearly Rs 88 crore in the international market.
Identity of the arrested smugglers couldn’t be ascertained immediately but, sources said, all of them belonged to Kashmir. A case has been registered against them for further investigations.
