20 KCPS students complete Saach Pass Trek

JAMMU, June 9: Twenty students of KC Public School completed an adventure trek to Saach Pass, located at an altitude of 14,500 feet and regarded as one of the toughest passes in the Peer Panjal Range. The expedition was organised from June 4 to 7 under the aegis of the International Award for Young People and the Adventure Ideal of Round Square.
The participating students were Aashman Mansotra, Aditi Vij, Anshika Gupta, Augustya Sharma, Bhramleen Kour, Chetanya Gupta, Gousiya Wahab, Kavya Luthra, Kunjal Bhat, Peehunika Bhagat, Prisha Gupta, Ritambra Vaid, Rudraa Jamwal, Rudransh Pandey, Sanvi Rajput, Saransh Puri, Satvik Bangotra, Shambhavi Koul, Shivansh Koul and Vaibhav Singh.
Escorted by Academic Director Dr RD Thakur and IAYP Award Leaders Ajay Thappa, Ayushi Khajuria, Neelakshi Sadhotra and Rahul Thakur, the students undertook acclimatisation treks, interacted with children in Tepa village and carried out field studies of local flora and fauna. They later reached Saach Pass and witnessed panoramic views of the mountains leading to the remote Pangi Valley.
Chairman Raju Chowdhary and Principal A.K. Mishra congratulated the students on successfully completing the demanding Himalayan expedition.
