KATRA, Dec 21: With the aim to impart knowledge of various approaches and practices in Managing of Human Resource Management to the participants, two-week Faculty Development programme was inaugurated today by Vice-Chancellor, Prof Sudhir K Jain at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra.
The programme is being organized by School of Business, Faculty of Management with the financial support from All India Council of Technical Education.
During the presidential address, Vice-Chancellor Prof Jain emphasized the strategic role of human resources to enhance the performance of the organizations.
Earlier, during the function, Major General Dhir, while addressing the participants, assured that he who will facilitate them in realizing their potentials.
Prof V K Bhat, Dean, Faculty of Management, mentioned that such quality development programmes help in the overall development of people.
While introducing the aim of the FDP, Programme Coordinator underlined that this capsule programme aims to enrich the knowledge and experience of participants with various multivariate approaches, procedures and techniques of HRM with an Indian perspective for nurturing and enhancing research, teaching and analytical skills of the participants. The FDP would comprise of various interactive sessions which will be taken by esteemed resource persons of corporate and academia. The programme will enable the participants to enrich their skill-sets with the help of instructional methods including lectures, laboratory work, research assignments, discussions, field visits, case studies, and other audio-visuals aids.
The participants of the FDP belong to different parts of country including Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, etc.
