REASI, May 27: Police has arrested two thieves, who were involved in burglary at a house in Seela, Reasi, and also recovered a number of stolen items worth lakhs of rupees from their possession.
The arrested thieves were identified as Parvez Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid of Malipath Kishtwar and Farooq Ahmed, son of Mohd Sharief of Gandoh Doda. They were allegedly involved in the theft at the house of Kamal at Seela, under the jurisdiction of Reasi Police Station.
During interrogation of these two suspects, they confessed their involvement in the said case and on their disclosure gold and silver items worth lakhs of rupees were recovered from their possession. The recovered items included gold bangles (10), gold earrings (03)m gold nose rings (2), gold necklace and chain (3), gold ring (1), gold locket (1), silver ring (2), silver bangles (2), silver coins (11), silver bangle big size (1), silver chatter (2) and silver bowl (1),
The recovery was made by the team, led by SHO Reasi Inspector Jasbir Singh under the supervision of SSP Reasi Tahir Sajjad Bhat.
