UDHAMPUR, Aug 19: Two persons were injured when a van, they were traveling in, rolled down into a deep gorge near Chaterari, Ramnagar, here today.
The Eco Van, without registration number was on its way from Ramnagar to Basantgarh when it met with the accident. Locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to Sub- District Hospital Ramnagar where doctors referred them to GMC Hospital Jammu.
The injured were identified as Balwan Singh (21), son of Suram Chand and Sohan Lal (24), son of Gian Chand, both resident of Basantgarh.
Meanwhile, reports said that one Mohan Chand (27), son of Ranvir Chand of village Madha, tehsil Chenani, consumed some poisonous substance at his home last night. The family members shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur where after primary treatment, he was referred to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his serious condition.
