SAMBA, Oct 21: Two drivers were seriously injured after a truck and an oil tanker collided head on at National Highway Jakh near Blue Moon banquet hall in Samba district today.
According to the report, two vehicles collided at Jammu -Pathankot National Highway near Jakh in which both the drivers were seriously injured. After the collision, movement of traffic was also affected for some time. But the police reached the spot and restored the traffic and sent the two injured to the Vijaypur Government Accident Hospital for treatment. After giving first aid to them, the doctors referred both the drivers to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu.
The injured have been identified as Ashwani Kumar, 35, son of Dharampaul, resident of Hatli Morh Kathua and Vinod Kumar, 33, son of Mohinder Paul residents of Himachal Pradesh.
Vijaypur Police Station in-charge Sudhir Sadhotra said that in this regard both the vehicles have been seized by the police and investigation has been started. A case also stands registered under relevant sections of the law in this regard.
