2 die in Loran road accident

POONCH, July 9: Two persons were killed while another was seriously injured when a Tata Sumo vehicle rolled down into a gorge in Loran area of  Mandi  Sub Division today.
A police spokesman giving details said that the mishap took place at around 10 am at Jabri village when the Tata Sumo vehicle bearing registration No. JK11A/ 3933 which was on way to Mandi from Loran,  went out of control and fell into a gorge. Three persons including driver were on board.

While two persons were killed on the spot, the third one was critically injured. After accident the people of the area rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. The police party from Loran also arrived there. Two dead bodies were removed from the wreckage of the vehicle.
The deceased were identified as Riaz Ahmed (22), son of Ghulam Mohd, resident of Loran  and Mukhtiar Ahmed, son of Mohd Ayub, resident of Seri Chuala. Their dead bodies were handed over to the family after postmortem. The critically  injured Nazakat Hussain, son of Mohd Hussain, resident of Loran was shifted to Mandi hospital and then removed to District Hospital, Poonch. He has now been referred to GMC Hospital Jammu.
Meanwhile, a 5-year-old boy was seriously injured after he was hit by a tractor trolley at Chhajla village in Mankote this morning. Identified as Mohd Rizwan, son of Mohd Zafoor from Chhajla, he was removed to SDH Mendhar and then referred to DH, Rajouri. Then tractor trolley operators managed to escape from the spot. The police has registered a case in this connection.
