KATHUA, May 23: Two dead bodies were recovered by police at two different places in Kathua district today while one girl died in mysterious circumstances in Dhana Nagrota in the same district today.
According to reports, the dead body of Mohammed Ishaq, Son of Shamas-ud_Din of Ward No 2 Billawar was found 200 meters away from Pump Station early this morning by the people.
He was working in PHE Department and had gone to Pump Station last night to attend his duty. The body bore some injuries on the head. The people informed the Billawar Police which shifted the body to Hospital. After conducting the postmortem and other formalities it was handed over to the family for last rites.
The Billawar Police has registered a case under Section 174.
In another incident, the dead body of 25 year old Surjit Singh, son of Girdhari Singh of Manjali Mandi, Barwal Kathua was found in bushes in the village this morning.
After getting information the Kathua police took the body under its custody and after conducting postmortem and other formalities it was handed over to the family for last rites. The cause of death was not known so far. The Kathua police has registered a case under Section 174.
In another incident a 17 year old girl consumed some poisonous substance at her residence today. She was shifted to GMC Jammu but died on way to hospital.
The deceased has been identified as Sushma Devi D/O Durga Dass of Dhana Nagrota. The Kathua Police has registered a case under Section 174 and handed over the dead body to parents after getting postmortem conducted.
