Srinagar, Feb 16: Two security bunkers were removed from Srinagar city today as they were leading to traffic congestion.
The bunkers were removed to ease out the traffic congestion in Srinagar areas including Moulana Azad Road, Rajabagh and other areas. “We decided to remove some makeshift bunkers that were erected for frisking and other security related issues,” an official said.
These bunkers were removed from Bagat and Jehahir Chow in Srinagar as they were creating hurdles in the smooth traffic movement.
For the last two years, large numbers of bunkers came up in Srinagar and they have led to traffic congestion.
