JAMMU, Oct 5: First J&K State Six Red Ball Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association (JKBSA), commenced at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
The Championship was declared open by Chairman of the Association Sidharth Sharma along with President Sanjeev Gupta.
A record number of 96 cueists including 16 cueists from Srinagar are participating in this championship.
First round of the Championship will be played in league format as per national pattern.
Among others present were Senior Vice President of the Association Jaideep Manocha, Vice President Nikhil Kapahi, Treasure Sohail Khalid, General Secretary Vishal Abrol, Ishan Chowdhary and Ishuk Chowdhary, Organizing Secretary of the Championship.
While speaking, Ishuk Chowdhary said that the rules will be strictly followed and players will be allowed to play tournament in proper dress code as prescribed by BSFI.
