19th RSFI Rope Skipping C’ship concludes

JAMMU, Dec 2: The Valedictory Ceremony for the 19th RSFI Rope Skipping Championship was held today at IDPS, here today.
Yogesh Sawhney, Former Minister presided over the function in the presence of Dr Kuldeep Sharma, Vice President, National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development, Ministry of Woman and Child Development, Government of India, Managing Director IDPS, Suminder Singh, Managing Director IDPS Swarn Choudhry and NK Karan, President IDPS Society Delhi.
The RSFI President Sailesh Sharma, RSFI General Secretary Nirdesh Sharma, RFSI General Secretary Jammu Tarsem and Chairperson Development Committee RSAJ Madhu Abrol were also present on the occasion.
About 350 students from 12 states of India participated in the Championship.
The overall trophy was won by Delhi by securing maximum number of medals, while Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand emerged as the first and second runners-up respectively.
Mr Sawhney, as the Chairman of RSAJ, thanked the Federation, the participants and the organisers for holding such an event successfully.
He appreciated the sportsman spirit of the various participants who had come to Jammu from distant states despite varying climates and conditions.
Dr Kuldeep Sharma appreciated the organisers for promoting sports culture.
GPC Shekhar Raju, Vice President RSFI, Sucheta Gupta (Academic Director, IDPS Kathua), Makrand Mehta (National Level Badminton Player), Raj Kumar Gupta (President Go Raksha Samiti), SP Suri (eminent Educator, ex- Dean, Deptt of Education, University of Jammu), Sureshtha Khajuria (Managing Director Shangreela Public School), Suza Zaffar (President Super Seven Cricket Association), Dheeraj Mishra ( Social and Media Activist and RSAJ member), Mr Nitin Bhasin (Vice President RSAJ), and Vivek Soni (Technical Head RSFI) were also present on the occasion.
Jyoti Sharma, Coordinator IDPS, hosted the program.
The winners were awarded medals by the dignitaries on the occasion.
