SRINAGAR, July 9: Nineteen persons were injured today in 10 road accidents across the Kashmir valley, police said.
In a collision between a Winger JK01L/9014 and a Sumo JK01N/9966 near Mirgund, Baramulla, three passengers boarding the Sumo were injured. Police said they have been shifted to JVC Hospital, Bemina.
In another accident, an unidentified Army vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian Tazlan ,8, son of Nizam-ud-Din Khan of Pattan, near Pattan Court in district Baramulla. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment, police said.
A Tavera JK01P/6502 hit and injured a Cyclist Firdous Ahmad Khanday son of Ghulam Hassan of Warpora at Warpora, Budgam. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment.
A Tata Sumo JK01M/2641 driven by Mohammad Lateef Dar resident of Mujgund, Srinagar, hit a Motorcycle JK15/3401 near Petrol Pump, Safapora, Ganderbal, resulting in injuries to Motorcyclist Arshid Ahmad Kailo son of Mohammad Ashraf and two pillion Gulzar Ahmad Kailo son of Ghulam Rasool and Aqib Ahmad Daga son of Manzoor Ahmad of Naniwara Sumbal. They were shifted to Sumbal Hospital for treatment, where from they were referred to JVC Hospital, Bemina, Srinagar for further treatment, police said.
A Tata Sumo JK05A/0146 driven by Ishaq Mir resident of Check Kegam turned turtle at Nutnusa, Kupwara, resulting in injuries to six passengers. The injured were shifted to Handwara Hospital for treatment, where from two persons were referred to Bone and Joints Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment.
In another accident, a Sumo JK05B/8224 hit and injured a pedestrian Mujeeba wife of Abdul Aziz of Nagabal, Tral at Charsoo Crossing, Awantipora. The injured has been shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment.
A minibus JK05/8397 hit an Alto registration number JK05B/5269 on National Highway near Trumgund Crossing, Sopore, resulting in injuries to the Alto driver Nazir Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Samad resident of Gund Jahangir. The injured has been shifted to Sub District Hospital, Pattan for treatment.
In another accident an Indica car PT02AX/4078 and Tavera JK01K/2530 collided at Ikhrajpora Park in Srinagar, resulting in damage to both the vehicles. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in this incident.
An unidentified vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Sultan Tantray son of Ghulam Mohammad of Hund Kangan, near JVC Hospital, Bemina, Srinagar. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for treatment.
Meanwhile, an Auto JK013/7836 driven by Javed Ahmad Sheikh resident of Danpora Brain, Nishat collided with an unidentified vehicle at Makaye Park, Boulevard, Srinagar, resulting in injuries to Auto driver and passenger Wali Hyder of UP , presently residing in Zadibal, Srinagar. The injured was shifted to hospital for treatment, police said.
