18-member State Hockey team leaves for Nationals

JAMMU, June 15: An 18-member Sub-Junior boys’ team today left for participation in the 9th Hockey India Sub-Junior (under-16) Championship to be held at Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh from June 17 to July 2.
Earlier, the screening was conducted by J&K State Sports Council (JKSSC) under the guidance of Divisional Sports Officer, Ravi Singh and Manager, Ashok Singh.
The members of Hockey J&K were also present during the screening, who later presented playing kits to the team.
Earlier, the selected probable underwent a 10 days coaching camp held at KK Hakhu Stadium, here.
“J&K team has to play four matches from June 18 onwards. Joginder Singh has been appointed as coach while Navjot Singh as manager,” informed General Secretary of Hockey J&K, GS Bakshi.
The Team: Saksham Sharma, Aditya Balotra, Banpreet Singh, Bhupinder Singh, Yugeshwar Rudar, Shivam Sharma, Sukhchinder Singh, Arunpreet Singh, Shoib Mughal, Sparsh Bakshi, Sukhpreet Singh, Shivay Vaid, Jagmeet Singh, Lakhwinder Singh, Sachin Kumar, Amandeep Singh and Maganjot.
