UDHAMPUR, Apr 10: Police foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued 18 bovines besides arresting two smugglers, here today.
Police team of Police Station Kud intercepted a group of 18 bovines, which was being taken on foot towards Kashmir without any valid permission.
All the bovines were rescued and two alleged smugglers, namely Ashiq Ali, son of Bhag Ali of Gurha Slathia, Samba and Manjoor Hussain son of Karim Din of Babey, Majalta, were arrested on the spot.
In this regard, case FIR No. 12/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kud.
