15 bikes, 7 e-rikshaws seized for violations

RAJOURI, Sept 1: In a continued drive to ensure road safety and enforce traffic regulations, the Traffic Police team seized 15 bikes/two wheelers and seven e-rikshaws for violations.

The team led by DySP Traffic Ajaz Choudhary, conducted a special naka today and during drive 145 traffic violations were noticed and the violators slapped challans. The enforcement action included 120 challans for riding without helmets, 20 for hiding/obstructing number plates and five for triple riding.

The Traffic Police seized 15 motorcycles and 7 e-rickshaws for violations of traffic rules.

The Traffic Police appealed to motorists and other road users to strictly follow traffic regulations, use helmets and seat belts, display number plates properly and avoid overloading and triple riding to ensure their own safety as well as that of other road users.
