Youth should take books not stones in their hands: Jugal

DHARHAL,  May 11:  Senior  leaders of BJP visited Dharal area of Rajouri district and took stock of various developmental works being executed there.
On this occasion a impressive public rally was also organised. The rally was chaired by Kuldeep Raj Gupta, Vice Chairman Phari Advisory Board. The rally was also addressed by MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and MLC Vibodh Gupta.
On this occasion the local residents of Dharal raised their various issues before the visiting delegation. It was informed that Dharal has always received step motherly treatment from all the successive governments and no comprehensive developmental work was ever taken up in the area. Local people cited the example of Dharal road which is in dilapidated condition. Many local students of the area put forth the demand for a degree college for Dharal as they have to suffer a lot in the absence of a degree college in the area.
Speaking on the occasion Kuldeep Raj Gupta appreciated the role played by people of Dharal in maintaining peace and harmony in the region. While addressing the gathering MP Jugal Kishore said that peace is a must for any developmental project to be implemented. While referring to the yesterday’s dastardly act of cowardice in Kulgam area of Kashmir wherein a bright and young Army officer was abducted and shot dead by the militants, Jugal termed him a role model for the Kashmiri youth. He said that those young people who carry stones in their hands must realize that this can only lead them towards death and destruction. He advised the youth to opt for books instead of stones as this will lead them towards progress and prosperity. Reacting towards demands raised by the local people MP Jugal announced an ambulance out of his CDF for the residents of Dharal.
He also promised the locals that all their other genuine demands will get the attention which they deserve.
The gathering was also addressed by the BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta who said that considering the tourism potential of the area Dharal has all the possibilities to be developed as a model tourist destination. He said that from time to time he keeps on raising the issue of connecting the seven lakes near Dharal through road network so that a model tourist circuit for the area can be developed.
This he said will create many employment avenues for the local youth of the area. He said that present Government is fully aware about the problems being faced by the people of Dharal and they under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti are trying their best to resolve them on priority.
Ex-Minister Thakur Puran Singh and Senior BJP leader Dev Raj Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
