JAMMU, Apr 1: A 22-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide today by hanging himself at his residence here at Purani Mandi.
According to police spokesman, the youth identified as Vasu Mahajan (22) son of late Harinder Pal, a resident of Purani Mandi, Jammu, allegedly ended his life by hanging self with the hook of a ceiling fan at his residence, this afternoon.
“On getting information from family members, police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for conducting post mortem”, he said, adding the concerned police had registered a case in this connection and initiated proceedings under 174 CrPC.
