JAMMU, Aug 9: A youth was today found hanging at his residence in Narwal area of city outskirts.
According to police sources, a youth identified as Rameshwar (26) son of Rati Ram, resident of Madhya Pradesh (at present residing in Narwal), was found hanging with a fan at his residence, this morning.
He said that body of the deceased was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where after conducting post-mortem, it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites.
As no suicide note was recovered from the spot, the concerned police have initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC.
