JAMMU, Jan 12: A 22-year-old youth was today found dead in a playground in Nowabad area of Jammu city.
According to a police official, some boys while playing in a school ground in Nowabad area found a youth lying on the ground in unconscious condition and informed the police.
On their information, a police team reached the spot and shifted the youth to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
The deceased youth was identified as Hemanshu Atri son of Rattan Lal, resident of Ramban (at present residing at Ajit Colony, Talab Tillo, Jammu). In this connection, Nowabad police had initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC.
