RAJOURI, Feb 5: A youth from Nowshera area of district Rajouri committed suicide by hanging at his residence last night.
A police spokesman identified the deceased as 21-year-old Sagar Kumar, son of Mohan Lal, resident of village Dharat in Nowshera. The youth was studying in BA Part-II at Sunderbani college. He was found hanging from the ceiling fan hook of his room last night. He was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The police after conducting postmortem and performing all the legal formalities handed over the body to the family for last rites. A case was registered for investigation. The reason behind this extreme step was not known immediately.
