JAMMU, Apr 14: A youth drowned in river Tawi at Har Ki Poudi area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station.
As per police sources, a boy namely Manik (15), son of Suresh Kumar, a resident of Pamposh Colony, Janipur had gone to river Tawi along with his friends for taking bath, when he got drowned.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the help of a local youth of Gorkha Nagar, fished out the body from the river.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for autopsy, which will be conducted tomorrow morning.
Bagh-e-Bahu police has taken cognizance in this regards.
