RAJOURI, Mar 15: A youth died under mysterious circumstances in Rajouri town last night.
Police sources said that young Mohd Yasir, son of Ayub Choudhary, a former Sarpanch hailing from Danod area of Rajouri was found lying on the road side near District Hospital, Rajouri late last evening. Some people noticed him lying there and informed police.
Later, he was shifted to local hospital in unconscious condition by police and locals. The doctors provided preliminary treatment and referred him to GMC Hospital, Jammu. The police said that boy was found under the influence of some drugs of toxic nature. He died on the way while shifting to Jammu hospital from Rajouri last night.
The body was brought back to DH Rajouri and after postmortem was handed over to the family today. The police started investigation to know the real cause of death. The investigation was in progress.
