Youth critically injured in accident

RAJOURI, Feb 24: One person was seriously injured after he fell down from the moving over loaded mini-bus on the out skirts of the town here last evening.
The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Inderjeet Bakshi, son of Ghan Shyam Bakshi, resident of Thandi Kassi village near Rajouri. The mishap took place when he was standing in the door of an over loaded mini-bus moving towards Rajouri town from a nearby village.
Police said the speeding vehicle went out of control and was hit against the railing of a bridge near the town and Inderjeet who was hanging in the door was thrown away with the impact of massive collision. He received serious spine injuries and was rushed to the local hospital. About half a dozen other passengers travelling in the vehicle also sustained minor injuries.
The seriously injured accident victim, Bakshi was referred to GMC Hospital, Jammu and was today removed to Amritsar hospital. His lower body portion said to have turned senseless due to spinal chord injuries. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
