Youth Congress organizes peace prayer

JAMMU, Aug 17: Youth Congress organized peace prayer of all the religions at Press Club here today.
During the peace prayer, priests from all the religions prayed for the peace, prosperity and to maintain communal harmony and brotherhood among the people of all the caste, creed and colour of State.
A common religious ceremony was organized in which all the Youth Congress activists including office bearers of PYC under the leadership of Shahnawaz Choudhary, State president, participated.
Addressing the Youth Congress activists, Choudhary stressed upon the importance of brotherhood and communal harmony in State. He said that the religious sentiments must stay strong for maintaining the peace and harmony in State which has always set an example for the rest of country.
He also said that the biggest challenge that our country is facing today is communal divide rather then the terrorism.
Pranav Shagotra, State vice president, Youth Congress urged every citizen irrespective of religion, caste, and creed to maintain law and order besides maintaining the communal harmony.
Manjit Singh Jatt, State general secretary, Youth Congress appealed the public of Kishtwar to abide by the law and order at any cost by exposing the black sheep and maintain the peaceful environment.
Advocate Pankaj Basotra, President Udhampur-Doda Lok Sabha, Youth Congress, Rajveer Manhas, State secretary PYC, Varun Singla, LYC vice president Jammu Poonch, Charanjeet Singh Cheeku, LYC general secretary Jammu Poonch and Jatinder Chib, AYC President Gandhi Nagar also addressed the gathering.
