UDHAMPUR July 9: A youth committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his house in village Balaiter (Barmeen), here last night.
The deceased was identified as Ashok Kumar (21), son of Bansi Lal of Balaiter Barmeen, Tehsil Ramnagar. He consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances and fell unconscious last night. Family members shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for the investigation.
