JAMMU, Apr 25: A youth today allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in Samba district , a police officer said.
Rakesh Singh was critically injured when he shot himself with his rifle in remote Peeyur village of Samba district early today, the police officer said.
He was immediately rushed to Samba District Hospital, from where he was referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital in Jammu, he said, adding the victim died on his way to the Hospital.
The cause for his extreme step is not known, the police said. A case has been registered under the relevant Section and the police has started the investigation.
