Youth arrested for submitting fake PRC to obtain Govt job

JAMMU, Feb 13: A youth has been arrested for submitting fake Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) to obtain Government job.
As per police sources, a youth identified as Ankush Sharma, son of Ram Parshad, a resident of Pangali Colony, Hamirpur Sidhar had submitted PRC at the time of joining DPO Jammu as a newly recruited constable in 2011.
The documents submitted by recruits at joining time were got verified by DPO from the concerned quarter and the PRC produced by accused was found fake as it was not issued by DC Office Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 8/16 under Section 420, 467, 468 and 469 RPC was registered on January 30, 2016 against the youth and manhunt was launched to nab the youth, as he went underground after registration of the case against him.
On specific information, a team from Khour police station laid a trap and arrested the youth from Hamirpur Sidhar area.
The involvement of the revenue officials can not be ruled out as investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Police Station Khour SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Gurvinder Pal Singh, SP Rural Rajiv Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
