KATHUA, Mar 6: Kathua police today arrested one rapist for outraging the modesty of a minor girl and registered a case under Section 376 against him.
According to police one Vinod Kumar of Chak Desa Singh near here on March 2 offered a lift to a 10th class girl to her school in the area in his Maruti car. Instead of droving towards the School, Kumar took the girl to unknown place and outraged her modesty despite the protest by her.
The girl later reported the same to her parents who filed a report with Kathua police.
The girl in her statement also told police that the youth had threatened her of serious consequences in case she narrated the same to any one.
The police on the basis of charges of the girl and her family members arrested the youth. Police also got the medical examination of the girl conducted at District Hospital Kathua and its report is yet awaited.
