Youngster XI drubs Surya CC in JKCA Premier C’ship

RAJOURI, May 28: Youngster XI defeated Surya Cricket Club by a big margin of 80 runs in the ongoing Rajouri District JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association under the patronage of Justice CK Prasad and Justice Riffat Alam at Police Lines, here.
The Championship is being held under the chairmanship of CEO JKCA, AH Bukhari and under the overall supervision of Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal.
Batting first, Youngster Cricket Club scored 187 runs in 24.3 overs. Sukhdev Singh (47) and Raman (34) were the main contributors. Amit Sharma was the pick of the bowlers from Surya Cricket Club Rajouri, who scalped 5 important wickets by conceding 47 runs in his 5.3 overs, while Kulbir took 4 wickets by giving away 17 runs off his 4 overs.
In reply, Surya Cricket Club Rajouri collapsed at 107 runs in 18.1 overs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 80 runs. Amit Sharma top scored with 41 runs while Gourav contributed 14 runs to the total. For Youngster Cricket Club, Madan Lal Sharma and Keshav took 3 wickets each, while Raman claimed 2 wickets. Raman of Youngster XI was declared as man of the match.
