UDHAMPUR, May 29: A young man committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substances at his residence in village Kadia, Chenani.
The deceased, identified as Prem Chand (35), son of Chatru Ram, consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances late last night and fell semi unconscious. His family members took him to SDH Chenani where doctors referred him to District Hospital Udhampur doctors.
Despite hectic efforts by the doctors, he did not respond to the treatment and breathed his last this evening.
Cause behind committing suicide could not be ascertained while Police has registered as case under Section 174 for further investigation.
