JAMMU, Mar 31: To extend support to International Water Day, a Rangoli competition was organized by the students of Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET), here today.
The aim of the event was to create awareness among budding engineers towards judicious use of water and its management in order to save Mother Nature from imminent disaster. The captivating theme also depicted promotion of latest technologies and innovations for Water Conservation & its Management. Faculty members, staff and all the students of YCET participated in the event.
The event, organized by Steel Club, Department of Civil Engineering, witnessed budding engineers showing great zeal and zest for participation, outstanding creativity and talent. The event also provided useful insights into global water crisis and contemporary issues and realities confronting the world.
Prizes were given away to the winners by the Jury members comprising Er. Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman, JGEI, Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director and Dr. Seema Narain, Director, YCET.
The first prize was won by Monu, Sheetal, Anamika, Urvi and Akshita of Swat Club (CSE), whereas the second and third prizes were bagged by Palak, Falak, Preksha, Roshika and Rishab of Swat Club (IT) and Vikhyat, Abhishek, Sushant, Hitesh and Devinder of Steel Club (Civil Engg) respectively.
Er. Bodh Raj Verma, Dean Academics, .K.Kaul, TPO and senior faculty members Er Rajnish Magotra, Er. Loveneesh Talwar, Er. Neeraj Pandita, Er. Rhea Mahajan, Er. Dinesh Gupta, Dr. Preeti Verma were present on the occasion.
Er. Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman, JGEI and Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, JGEI, called upon future technocrats to realize the importance of technological advancement in water management and save precious human lives.
