YCET holds spiritual awareness programme

JAMMU, Mar 2: Yogana-nda College of Engineering & Technology today organized a spiritual awareness programme in collaboration with Yogada Satsang Dhyana Kendra, Jammu. The main aim of the programme was to channelize the youthful energy of budding technocrats in a right direction.
Bramchari Achyutanada and Bramchari Chaitanya-nanda, presently monks of Yogada Satsang Society of India, Ranchi were the spiritual gurus. Achyutanada gave his lecture on the topic “Vaigyanic Dhyan Dwara Santulit Tanav Rahit Jeevan Yapan”. He emphasized on the process of meditation through scientific approach for making balanced and stress free life. He further elaborated that the meditation is a process in which the subject, object and the process becomes one through which active energy flows out and calm energy comes in. He also discussed about the benefits of Pranayama.
Prof. Rajni Kant, Director, CDC, University of Jammu gave the welcome address. During his address, he apprised the audience about his association with the society, beliefs and benefits his family experienced from the Yogada Satsang Society Teachings.
During the programme, three students namely Abhishek Balotra (B.E. 2nd Semester Civil), Yamin Rafi (B.E. 4th Semester Civil) and Arun Katoch (B.E. 4th Semester Civil) stood first, second and third in the scholarship test on the “Autobiography of Yogi” in which around 256 students were registered for the test conducted by Yogoda Satsang Society of India at YCET.
These students were felicitated by Swami Achyutanadaji on behalf of the Society. First scholarship money was of Rs.1.20 lakh, second Rs.90,000 and 3rd of Rs. 60,000/- for a period of three years. These students were also given trophies for their achievement in the scholarship test.
Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman, YCET heartily thanked the spiritual gurus, Prof. Rajni Kant, Director CDC, Prof. Rajni Dingra, Department of Home Sciences from the University of Jammu,  and other local centre officials of the Society for making the event possible.
