RAJOURI, May 31: XI Star defeated Kotedhara Cricket Club in an easy contest by 8 wickets in the ongoing JKCA Premier League, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at District Police Lines ground, here.
Winning the toss and batting first, Kotedhara Cricket Club bundled out for 95 runs in 22.2 overs. Wasim and Vinod contributed 19 and 14 runs to the total respectively. Amanpreet Singh was the pick of the bowlers for XI Star Cricket Club, who took 4 important wickets by conceding 24 runs in his 5 overs, while Sahil Sharma and Bhanu Gupta took 2 wickets each.
In reply, XI Star chased the required target in just 8.3 overs by losing 2 wickets to win the math by 8 wickets. Sarvjeet Singh and Hearty Sharma contributed 28 and 26 runs to the total respectively. Wasim and Shoket took 1 wicket each for Kotedhara Cricket Club. Amanpreet Singh of XI Star Cricket Club was declared as man of the match for his superb bowling display.
