X-En, 2 JEs among 8 challaned

JAMMU, Sept 13: The State Vigilance Organization (SVO), Kashmir today produced challan in the Anti-Corruption Court, Baramulla against eight accused including three Government officials in connection with misappropriation of temporary advance to the tune of Rs 22.10 lakh.
Investigations conducted by the Vigilance Organization revealed misappropriation of temporary advance to the tune of Rs 22.10 lakh in the year 2007 by Abdul Karim Dagga, the then Executive Engineer PHE Division Handwara in league with  Mohammad Muzaffar Khan, the then Junior Engineer PHE Handwara and  Showkat Hussain Pir, the then Junior Engineer, Handwara under a well knit criminal conspiracy.
They had fraudulently submitted requisitions amounting to Rs 10.10 lakh and Rs 12 lakh respectively and released an amount of Rs 22.10 lakh as temporary advance in their favour.
The Investigation of the case was concluded as proved and for launching prosecution against the accused, the challan of the case has been produced today before the Court of Special Judge Anti-corruption, Baramulla Kashmir.
