Wrestling, Cricket, Badminton Competitions held

JAMMU, Apr 27: Organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Hiranagar Zone, the Inter School Wresting, Cricket and Badminton Competitions were held at Sports Stadium, Hiranagar and GHSS Marheen, here today.
In Under-14 Wresting event, Sadiq of GMS Haripur toppled Vishal of GMS Pansar in 32 kg category and in 55 Kg category, while Maskeen Ali of Government Model Middle School, Hiranagar trounced Vishal of GMS Chhapaki Kalan.
In Under-17 category, Rashid of GHSS Hiranagar defeated Shamawn of GHSS Marheen in 50 kg category, while in 58 Kg category, Mohd Din of GHSS Marheen thrashed Baru Din of GHSS Hiranagar.
At GHSS Marheen, the opening match of Badminton for Under-17 boys was played between Raghav of Unique Model HSS Chadwal and Mahesh of GMS Phalapur in which Raghav outplayed Mahesh by 2-0 sets.
Meanwhile, at Sports Stadium Hiranagar, the opening match for Under-17 boys was played between Infant Jesus HSS Hiranagar and Unique Model HSS Chadwal in which later outplayed former by 7 runs.
Unique Model HSS Chadwal gave the target of 40 runs in 7 overs and Infant Jesus HSS Hiranagar bundled out for 32 runs to lose the match by 8 runs.
