PANCHARI, Sept 8: Wrestler Salman of Udhampur clinched the Annual Sankri Dangal title by defeating Wrestler Asif Ali of Akhnoor, Jammu in a bout which lasted for 5 minutes.
The Dangal held at ongoing Sankri Devta Mela at Panchari was organized by Meer Dangal Committee in collaboration with District Police, Udhampur under the overall supervision of President Dangal Committee, Lashman Singh.
Besides the main bout, women Wrestling was another major attraction of the event. The women wrestlers Pooja & Muskan of Haryana and Kajal from Himachal Pardesh fought very courageously and won great applaud.
Around 100 wrestlers from within and outside the state participated in the one day long wrestling event.
Tehsildar Panchari, Narinder Kumar -the Mela officer was the chief guest on the occasion and gave away cash prizes to the winners and runner up Wrestlers.
