Wreath laying ceremony held

Srinagar, Mar 13: Wreath laying ceremony of a police constable who died while performing his duties in South Kashmir was held today at District Police Lines Anantnag.
According to a police spokesman, the police constable identified as Zahoor Ahmad Baba fell unconscious at Khanabal point while performing his duty at Khannabal in Anantnag district. He was shifted to hospital for treatment where doctors declared him brought dead. The deceased was a resident of Tailbal area of Srinagar.
The spokesman said, “among others who presented wreaths included DyCO IR11th Battalion Tejinder Singh, DySP Headquarters Liyakat Ali Khan, DySP Mohammad Abass, DySP DAR Muzaffar Ahmad, 2iC CRPF 40 Battalion Rajesh Kumar and other police officers and jawans.” The body of the deceased was handed over to his family members for last rites.
