KATHUA, July 15: World Youth Skills Day was celebrated in Kathua today with all fervor and gaity.
Dr Bharat Bhushan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kathua, flagged off rally of youths belonging to different Skills Development Training Institutes of Kathua.
Suraj Parkash, Director of Regional Institute under the Aegis of Regional Educational Society, Kathua besides Rajesh Gupta, Director of Jai Jagdambay Institute of Skill Development located in Chack Drab Khan, Kathua, also participated in the rally along with students of the Institute pursuing Skill Development Training.
About 400 youth participated in the Skill Development Rally which started from Government Degree College (Boys) Kathua and culminated at Saheedi Chowk Kathua. The students were carrying placards and banners giving details of Pradhan Mantri Koushal Vikas Yojana.
Dr Bharat Bhushan, Additional DC Kathua, while speaking on the occasion appreciated Suraj Parkash, Director of Regional Institute under the Aegis of Regional Education Society Kathua and Rajesh Gupta Director of Jai Jagdambay Skill Development Institute, Kathua for organizing mass awareness rally. He hoped that the institutes will strive hard to provide quality education to the trainees and take steps for their placement.
The faculty members of the Skill Development Training Institutes of Kathua also participated in the rally.
