JAMMU, Nov 30: Educat-ional institutions observed World AIDS Day.
Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research, Nardani Jammu observed World AIDS Day by organizing a road rally and an awareness program at St. Xavier Convent Higher Secondary School Barnai Bantlab. A large number of students of the college participated in the rally on the theme “Know AIDS, No AIDS”. In the awareness session, Dr Sarabjeet Kaur, Dr Anjana and Tahir Rufayee expressed their views. The whole event was coordinated by Dr Twinkal Gupta, Associate Professor Department of Kaya Chikitsa. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr Raghuvir Singh.
World AIDS Day was observed by NSS Unit of Sant Mela Singh College of Education, Digiana. On the occasion, slogan writing competition was organized, in which Kamalpreet Kour and Isha Dour bagged first and second positions respectively, while the third position was shared by Jaswinder Singh and Ujala Devi. Principal of the college Dr Kiran Luthra presided over the function. Prof Inderjeet Kour and Prof Sarabjeet Kour were the adjudicators on the occasion. Prof Charanjeet Kour conducted the programme.
