KATHUA, Sept 2:   The ‘Two Days Personality Development Workshop (WPD’17)’ for the students of MCA Programme, concluded here today at the Kathua Campus.
Providing the guidelines on the techniques of ‘Impression Management and Interview Skills’, during the first session on second day,   Kr  Abhimanyu D S Billawaria, Senior Trainer at Communication County, Jammu,  introduced ‘BPHAST Rule’ as a concept to the participants, which emphasizes on body language, paralinguistics, haptics, artfactuals, space and timing. Abhimanyu also explained to the students various Do’s and Don’ts of a good code of conduct in general and interview in particular,  which implies understanding one’s role and potential and skillfully applying it in professional and personal life.
The first session was followed by ‘Cultural Bonanza’ that comprised of different cultural programmes, motivational speeches, dance performances, skits, songs etc. thereby rejuvenating the students for the next session.
The second session was conducted by Dr. Rakesh Sharma, Head, Department of English, Bhaderwah Campus. He focused upon the language as a vital step towards attaining the self confidence that ultimately comes through practice. He also stressed upon the English language as a passport to employment and the ways through which it may be acquired.
Prof Rajni Kant, Rector, Kathua Campus, in his message, stated the Personality Development as a core competence in this professional world. He assured that such endeavours of organizing workshops for the students shall continue in future also.
Earlier, Sourabh Shastri, Incharge Head, MCA presented the welcome address and introduced the resource persons to the students of MCA programme in the workshop. He highlighted the importance of Personality Development and laid stress upon sincerity, exposure and discipline so as to become successful in the corporate world.
Amit Sharma, Assistant Professor, MCA, presented the formal vote of thanks during the valedictory ceremony.
The faculty members at Kathua Campus including Pankaj Khajuria, Ajay Lakhnotra, Riti Prakash Singh Katal and Amardeep Sharma were also present during the event.
