JAMMU, Apr 12: A one-day workshop on ‘Basic Life Support’ was organized by Bee Enn College of Nursing, Chak Bhalwal, in its campus.
The workshop was organized in collaboration with Bee Enn General Hospital, Talab Tillo road, Jammu and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal, Katra. The programme started by lamp lighting ceremony and Saraswati Vandana, followed by welcome address by JC Frank, organizing chairperson of the workshop.
Dr Arun Sharma, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Government Hospital Gandhinagar Jammu delivered the inaugural speech. He highlighted the critical care nurse management. Dr Pankaj Gupta Cardiac Anaesthetist from SMVDN Superspeciality hospital talked about need and various aspects of basic life support. Dr Sumit Sharma of Emergency Medicine, SMVDN Katra and his team of SMVDN Superspeciality Hospital gave live demonstration on basic life support, followed by question answer session.
The workshop culminated with vote of thanks by Shakuntala Sharma, Principal, Bee Enn College of Nursing, Chak Bhalwal. More than 400 nursing students of various nursing institutes of Jammu participated in the workshop. Certificates and workshop kits were distributed among the delegates.
