JAMMU Apr 7: Madan Lal Sharma Member Parliament Jammu Poonch Constituency said that he took up various issues and spoke for the cause of Jammu as sitting Member Parliament as the people have mandated him for the same.
While addressing the Public gathering at Hari Om Mohalla Roop Nagar Jammu he asked the party men to work on similar lines and serve the masses as promised during the elections. He said that some leaders do not speak for the cause of Jammu even if they desire as they are frightened of not getting mandate.
He also asked people to strengthen the Congress Party for the greater interest of Jammu as no other party from Jammu can share power. He asked the people to unite so that they are capable of promoting the Chief Minister from Congress. Mr. Sharma asked the Government to conduct early election of local Bodies and BDC to actually transfer the power at grass root level. He said that late Prime Minister Rajeev Gandhi had seen a dream of local governance through Local Bodies. Congress Party always worked for downtrodden section and strengthen system and make people realize their rights through the process of local governance.
