Women Club organizes ‘Meri Pehchan’

JAMMU, Apr 16: Women Club organized a women oriented programme ‘Meri Pehchan’ here today.
The Club has been launched by Sandhya Gupta for women folk of Jammu. A large number of working women from various fields participated in the programme.
In her introductory speech, Mamta Singh, appreciated the efforts of Sandhya Gupta to make her dreams come true by launching and introducing the Club.
Sandhya Gupta in her address said that the Club has been launched with the sole motive of encouraging the working women and bringing out the hidden talent of the common. She said that she wants to bring harmony in the dull, monotonous and suppressed life of women around me through the different activities of the Club such as entertainment, informative and interactive sessions, yoga, health talks, awareness programmes, demonstration classes and festival celebration in free and informal way.
She further said that “Meri Pehchan” unlike women’s day is a medium through which we celebrate the spirit of women not on one day but each day that brings new challenges. She expressed hope that “Meri Pehchan” will do wonders in the life of women folk.
The women who were felicitated by the Club on the occasion include Reeta Jitendra (Ex-Principal of Women College), Nalini Kohli (Principal, Government Degree College Jammu), Arti Thakur (Sub Inspector), Monika Kohli (Advocate), Veena Honda (executive of Amar Singh Club, Jammu), Sunaina Mehta (SDM Akhnoor), Suganda (Dy SP Head Quarter, Jammu), Pooja Malhotra (educationist and social activist), Purnima Sharma (Rajay Adksh Mahila Morcha), Sunniya Ashkoor Wani (Dy SP), Anu Puri (Divisional Commissioner of Sales Tax), Vandana Jojra (housewife), Meena Jaggi (president, Innerwheel Club), Anita (SHO, Women Cell) and Anita Kumari (Senior Executive, J&K Bank).
