JAMMU, Jan 18: A woman today succumbed to her burn injuries here at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
According to a police spokesperson, the woman identified as Nazia Kousar (20) wife of Basharat Hussain, a resident of Surankote, was shifted here at GMCH on September 13 after she suffered burn injuries at her residence in a fire that broke out due to leakage of domestic gas.
However, the woman succumbed to her injuries today at about 9.10 AM. After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
