SRINAGAR, July 9: Police today said that a woman was stabbed by few individuals at her home in Hajin area of Bandipora district last night.
A Police spokesman said that few individuals last night forced their entry inside the house of Abdul Majid Dar at Hajin Bandipora and attacked his wife Shakeela Bano with knives.
He said Shakeela received multiple stab wounds and was immediately evacuated to the hospital for medical treatment. She was later shifted to SKIMS College Bemina, however, she succumbed to her injuries.
“Police has registered a case in this regard and investigation has been initiated to unravel any terror angle as well,” he said.
