KATHUA, Feb 12: A nomad (Bakerwal) woman was knocked to death by a bike- rider near Palai village in Basohli today.
Report said the mishap took place when the 45-year-old Sara Begum, wife of Bashir Ahmed was crossing road near Palai village during afternoon. The bike rider Deepak Kumar, son of Tilak Raj, resident of Basohli hit the woman and she was thrown away on the road with its impact. With head injury, the victim was rushed to Basohli hospital where she was declared as dead.
The police arrested Deepak Kumar and seized his bike. A case has been registered in this connection.
