DODA, Feb 22: A 25-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping from Khareeri hill top in Marmat area, falling under the jurisdiction of Goha police post.
As per police spokesman, a woman identified as Pinky Devi, wife of Sanjay Kumar, a resident of village Roat Fantyana Magh in Marmat Tehsil left her house after some altercation with family members yesterday.
The woman was last seen sitting near Khareeri waterfall and later committed suicide by jumping from the hill rock, he said, adding that the body of the lady was retrieved from the gorge and shifted to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Goha, where after conducting autopsy, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
Goha police has started inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC in this regard.
