JAMMU, Sept 22: A woman was today found hanging with a tree in Phalian Mandaal area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a woman identified as Salima (30) wife of Murad Ali, resident of village Ganduchak falling within the jurisdiction of police post Phalian Mandaal, was found hanging this evening with a tree in a field near her residence.
He said the woman had gone to bring some green fodder from her fields but when she didn’t return till late evening, family members searched for her and found her body hanging with a tree in their field, which was at some distance from their residence.
“The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for post mortem while inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC were initiated in the case by concerned police”, the official added.
