JAMMU, May 10: A woman was found hanging this morning in Miran Sahib area of city outskirts.
“Palak Gupta (28) wife of Sahil Nayar, resident of Miran Sahib, was found hanging at her residence this morning by her husband when the latter returned home after paying obeisance at a temple near his residence”, a police official said.
He said that body of the deceased was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu where after completion of all medico-legal formalities, it was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites.
“In this connection, Miran Sahib police has initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC in the case as no suicide note was recovered from the spot”, the official added.
